Had the pleasure of staying at the "Copper Kettle Bed & Breakfast" earlier this week - Fiona & Maurice are great hosts with nice comfortable lodgings, one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. Two thumbs up. – Nov. 20, 2009

This is a cozy home that Fiona and Maurice have beautifully restored. They are wonderful hosts - very friendly and generous. I learned to look forward to icecream for breakfast (a treat with a beautifully presented fruit salad). The location is centrally located; the only downside is that it is on the main road to/from the ferry terminal, so traffic is a bit noisy. However, all the pluses outweigh the drawback, and I would stay there again. Way more comfortable and personal than a chain hotel. – Nov. 1, 2009

It was our stop from Vancouver to Tofino. Lovely room, we had breakfast in the morning and we left for Tofino. They are really close to the sea wall and the water. Great little Bed and Breakfast. Will recommend it to any couples that wants a quiet moment. – Nov. 1, 2009

There is nothing to fault about this B&B. The rooms are delightful and have plenty of character, showing the owners attention to detail and the care they take in maintaining them. This includes not only the beautiful woodwork of the floor but also the co-ordinated cushions on the bed. The breakfast was excellent and substantial, certainly doing more than enough to set us up for a leisurely walk around the wonderful Newcastle Island. Maurice and Fiona couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed as well as telling us all that they could about the surrounding area and making numerous recommendations. – Oct. 14, 2009

The highlight of our trip to British Columbia was our one week of accommodation at the Copper Kettle B&B in Nanaimo. The main reason for our visit was to attend a wedding, but we also used this B&B as a basis from which to tour around Vancouver Island. Our hosts Fiona and Maurice were wonderful. They went above and beyond to help us during the week and made us feel so much at home. Their attention to details was excellent, and they had a genuine interest in how we were enjoying our stay, including the wedding. Our room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we required. The fact that we could walk into town or down to the harbour was a bonus. We would definitely return for another visit and would recommend this B&B to friends. – July 7, 2009
